About GLOBOCINE INTERNATIONAL PICTURES

GIP International Productions Ltd was formed in April, 2001. Its principal purpose and business is to produce motion pictures for world wide theatrical release. The company plans to develop and produce, but not limit itself to, genre films including thriller, drama, comedy and romantic comedy that focus on contemporary, socio-political moral dilemmas.

Our main target is the American market. Films that have successful theatrical releases in the US capitalise on this when it reaches the foreign markets, domestic satellite, pay-per-view, DVD/video and terrestrial TV.

GIP’s main objectives are:

• To produce films that have a strong social theme that will entertain and appeal to mainstream film goers.
• To make films that will explore contemporary issues that affect a broad a social group as possible.
• To produce a minimum of 3 feature films in the next 5 years with budgets ranging from $1.5 - $5 million.
• To utilise the current UK based tax schemes to enable the best returns for our investors
• To distribute our films through independent distributors/sales agents
• To negotiate distribution agreements on a film-by-film basis to ensure the best results for each project
• To re-invest a prudent percentage of the profits directly back into film production
• To train and promote local talent
• To stimulate and inspire film production in Brighton and the South Coast of England, and along with other production companies such as Spice Factory, well and truly make the South the film making capital of Europe

GIP recognises the talent that pours out of USA every year. We are constantly learning from their example and there is no reason why we can not grow and produce films in an equally successful manner. Not thinking in a traditionally provincial way, GIP will strive to entertain through great story telling.

GIP will concentrate on informative, evocative, probing films that are simple in their execution and will have as wide a demographic appeal as possible. Current market trends show that the film-going audience is becoming more and more intelligent and we must treat them with the respect, not only that they deserve, but demand.

Management and Organisation

GIP Film Productions’ primary strengths lie in it’s management team. The principals are Jonathan Glendening and Ivan Francis Clements. Jonathan and Ivan have many years experience in the entertainment industry. They will also be contracting key management on a film-by-film bases. They include:

Ivan Francis Clements – Producer

Ivan has just finished his current feature “THE ONLY HOTEL”. A fantasy thriller that was picked up by SHORELINE ENTERTAINMENT at this year’s American Film Market in February. Ivan was Executive Producer and Producer with a budget of $1.5 million and expects to start seeing first returns within 6-9 months. More details can be found at the website www.theonlyhotel.co.uk. He is a member of Directors Guild of Great Britain, New Producer’s Alliance and BECTU.

Jonathan Glendening – Writer / Director

Having made a number of short films, including award winners ROADSIDE and THE PERFECT MURDER, Jonathan went on to Produce and Direct SUMMER RAIN, his first feature. SUMMER RAIN was picked up by CHRYSALIS and has already won several awards including, Best Film (Rome Film Festival) and Best Film (Directors View Film Festival). More info here www.summer-rain.com
